Todd has been very busy with several woodworking projects. Here is the cherry table that he made for our living room, to house our oversized books. He also made all of the little boxes out of cherry & walnut scraps!

Crazy for cupcakes!
I've been having a lot of fun making these knitted cupcakes, a pattern designed by Julie Williams of Little Cotton Rabbits. They are a great way to use up my stash of Baby Cashmerino yarn! The Chatty Baby is just like my childhood doll (but I bought her on ebay since mine is long gone) and she's wearing a cute little dress my mom made in the early 60's- doesn't she look perfect for Valentine's Day? The teddy bear is one of my early attempts at making mohair teddy bears. I would like to get back to that one of these days!

OOAK BARBIES
I'm finally getting around to posting photos of the OOAK Barbies from the Fashion Doll club of the Rockies holiday party.
I won a doll created by reknown designer Avis Jones. She is outstanding! I hope you can see the detail in the back of her dress in the photos. I am so thrilled to win a doll created by Avis!
The vintage repro Barbie is my first attempt at creating a OOAK. Her dress & belt use Stampin' Up! supplies (I LOVE their new fabric line!), her petticoat is a vintage doily, and I knitted her sweater and crocheted her clutch bag.
Vintage Treasures!
Last Thursday was my monthly trip to my favorite vintage store, Oh So Charming Cottage. I bought a roll of embossed wallpaper, baby hangers, 2 matching glass lamps, pink napkins with a chenille design embossed on them, and a round hankie that I plan to make into a Barbie skirt!
I bought the napkins to go with the felt napkin rings I've been making with my Big Shot machine.
One of my favorite things about this store are the lovely displays- they always inspire me to go home and copy some of their ideas! They had a cute little suitcase stuffed with linens so I went home and hauled out my little suitcase, filled it with linens, and put up some old photos of my Dad & his family (that's my Grandma Solberg at the spinning wheel- sure wish I had seen what she made!) and a picture of my mom as a baby with her brother and niece and one of her at high school graduation. I need to find some old photos of Todd's family to complete this vignette!

I love making kids' clothes!
I finally used up this cotton chenille yarn by making this little girl's cardigan from the book big fish, little fish by Jil Eaton. Then I just happened to have a new sewing book from the library- Stitch by Stitch by Deborah Moebes- that had instructions for this cute skirt made from 2 packs of charm squares. And... I happened to have 2 packs of charm squares lying around that even matched the cardigan! Perfect!

My sudden tomato collection
After my visit to Oh So Charming, my favorite vintage store in Littleton (that is only open 1 weekend a month) I suddenly have a tomato collection! The only thing I had before in this photo are the bowls and 1 tomato swanky swig glass. I just love Oh So Charming! And my sister and I will be having our own store like it soon! (in Riverside, CA)
